The Limp Bizkit Slowdown

Is a term that describes the ~10 bpm slowdown that the Bizkit hits at 1:31 when they enter the first chorus of “Counterfeit” while performing on MTV Spring Break 1998. This whole concept of Limp Bizkit + Spring Break had to have been one of the weirdest mashup ideas of all time. Completely bizarre. Completely delightful.

Seeing this as a high school sophomore blew my mind. I definitely wanted the Ibanez Wes Borland 7 string guitar afterwards.

Later when I formed bands with Noah – we’d refer to the Limp Bizkit slowdown approximately three times per band practice. Apparently I wasn’t the only one it stuck with.
