Another great episode of Tim Ferriss podcast with Eat, Pray, Love author Elizabeth Gilbert . Seriously wild ride. She has an amazing orientation on life and the universe that I think folks will find enjoyable.
A few highlights for me…
- Her practice of “two way prayer” – which is basically a kind of seeing exercise
- “Happiness = reality – expectations”
- The story of the Dalai Lama surprised to learn that Americans have self-hatred (and it totally changing his work)
- Her describing what is essentially a caretaker personality of “the relaxed woman”
- Relaxation comes from: boundaries, priorities, & mysticism
- A lesson on yoga: “no cherished outcome”
- Her very different viewpoint on purpose, which she positions as “you’ll be notified”
