In my Buddhist life I go by the name Sambhava, which means “coming together”. This describes both my dharma & my “why” – which is to curate multi-dimensional experiences & bring people into them. The name is inspired by Padmasambhava – who is the founder of Vajrayana Buddhism. He was a cool dude
The Chi in between was the original name given to me by my teacher in 2012. Chi means life force. Although I no longer use that name in my work, I keep it there to pay homage. Like a maiden name of spirituality :).
My name in the world is Evangelion, which means “the good news”.
Together it’s Sambhava Chi Evangelion – the coming together of life force and good news. I like that.
I am a buddhist monk, musician, technologist, writer, artist, photographer, scuba diver, & life enthusiast who splits time between the San Francisco Bay Area & the Big Island of Hawaii with my Scottish Terrier Heruka. It could be worse!
This is my blog where I share musings into the void. First idea / best idea.
My chief creative project is a band called Gold Record which I started with some dear friends during quarantine before it spun wildly & delightfully out of control.
